laura: if i do say so myself, my self portraits are pretty dead on. i'm generally a very two-dimensional person, i always only wear green shirts, and
my weight never fluctuates. i enjoy long walks on the beach, sunsets, candlelight dinners, and trash talking over a game of mario kart (of which i
happen to be the master).
allison: if you enjoy my comic on any level, most likely you should be thanking allison for giving me ideas or for doing ridiculous things for me
to depict. if possible, she is more of a music snob than myself, and therefore i idolize her. holding the people around us to standards far too
impossible for them to achieve has become our life mission. some favorite allison cameos: #5, #7, #14, #17, #25, #32, #34, #35, #42.
derek: as some of you may know, derek holds down the fort around here. he's the genius behind the page programming, trouble shooting, and design, and
he's basically the perfect male specimen (even though he has a nasty appreciation for genesis and sarah mcsucklan). he actually created the web page on
which i vomit all my silly antics for one of my birthdays. so if you don't like the webpage you can blame him. some favorite derek cameos: #4, #29,

Cameos:
vinney: tales from yale originated from the lovely vinney. after finishing up her chemical engineering degree here at ncstate in three years, she
became tired of the south and headed up to yale. i suppose she found the chem.e. tiring, because now she is studying law. so don't try to steal my
ideas or pictures, because I have a cute, spunky indian lawyer to send you to the slammer! vinney cameos: #13, #18.
steve: allison's significant other, and an awesome photographer. given a child's toy and a few hours of spare time, he'll take the coolest pictures
you could ever imagine. he also drives a circa 1985 phat cutless supreme, so he gets a lot of attention from the lads and ladies alike! steve cameos:

anand: derek and i owe just about all of our well being to this guy. he gave derek a job, forced me to get my beat-up '91 jetta fixed, and introduced
me to indian food that i didn't think was terrible. he's also a genius with computer hardware, so if you like that kind of stuff go visit his site:

josh: some people don't care much for their siblings. to those people i say: you don't have a brother like josh. fortunately though, i do. i've
come across several comic ideas over a hard lemonade with him, and he's fully responsible for the idea behind his cameo comic. he's been giving me some
other good ideas recently, also, but i keep telling him he should be a guest artist and do my work for me instead. josh cameo: #53.
shannon: derek's sister is the coolest. she is just learning guitar and i swear she's already better than me. she's totally one of those people that
can do anything they want to do to perfection if they just put their mind to it. she will be a famous model someday, and then i'll say i knew her back
when i was drawing comics about her. shannon cameo: #43.
jason: once upon a time, derek and jason were roommates. jason shares derek's appreciation for genesis, and is a huge fan of bruce willis films. and
if you ever want to hear a respectable defense of such perceived lunatics as george w bush or rush limbaugh, jason is definitely the one to talk to.

bj: a long time ago, bj went to ncstate, too. he has long since left to pursue a carreer as a go-go dancer in vegas. good luck, old buddy! bj cameo:

shasta and sheila: the two most neurotic cats on earth live in this apartment. shasta is the wuss and sheila is the bitch. between the two of them,
one will whine you to death, the other will claw your face off for looking at her wrong. kitty cameo: #6
dead plant: the most important character in the strip is the dead plant. it's always there for me, reminding me of my inability to keep things alive.
